Trost,Matthew Raymond

Matthew Trost is a startup founder, creative, inventor, and software engineer based in Kamakura, Japan and Brooklyn, New York. He is co-founder, CTO, and COO of Superoot, a drink-mix company sold in 375 Whole Foods stores nationwide. With 15+ years of full-stack experience, he has built products, led teams, and helped companies scale. He co-founded Haiku, served as CTO, and took it through Y Combinator’s W18 batch. Its launch reached #1 on Product Hunt and Hacker News. He later became a founder and CTO of Aesthetic after working at Plato Design. He likes tennis, epic novels, interactive fiction, audiobooks, and can speak Japanese at a CEFR B1 level.
